Police: intoxicated man in underwear fell through ceiling of Frankfort hospital
It sounds like the attic scene in 1989's National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation , but at least in that movie Chevy Chase wore pajamas, a fur wrap and pink gloves when his feet fell through the ceiling and onto a bunk bed.
The guy who fell through the ceiling and into a stairwell Wednesday night at Frankfort Regional Medical Center wore only underwear.
Boxers or briefs? The police report doesn't say.
The unidentified man was apparently intoxicated and wasn't a patient. He was admitted to intensive care, Frankfort police spokesman Maj. Fred Deaton said.
About 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, an off-duty Frankfort police officer who was working as a security guard at the hospital reported the man's fall.
The fall damaged items from at least five rooms, according to an incident report, but Deaton didn't know what those items were.
The man ran through the hospital but was found later. "The supposition is that the perpetrator had ingested some sort of substance which caused a high degree of intoxication," Deaton said.
