After working in the lingerie business for more than a decade in large department stores and small boutiques, she opened Linda Lingerie Boutique in 1999.
“I knew I loved lingerie when I was a teenager working at the Estee Lauder counter at Macy’s, which happened to adjoin the lingerie department,” recalled Vinciguerra. “When the cosmetics counter was slow, I’d go over and help customers choose girdles, bras, and slips.” With an unfailing eye, she would make recommendations based on items that her mother and grandmother wore, and customers so often complimented her expert selections that eventually Vinciguerra was transferred to the lingerie department....
