STOCKTON - A probation search in the 1700 block of Milton Street early Friday led to two arrests and the seizure of multiple weapons, according to the Stockton Police Department.

Hector Villegas, 29, and Evelia Villegas, 24, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy, possession of assault weapons and related charges, according to booking records at the San Joaquin County Jail.

Few specifics regarding the arrest are available because the incident is under investigation and could be connected to several active cases, said Lt. Tina Zakhary of the Stockton Police Department.

Hector Villegas and Evelia Villegas are likely siblings, but it's not yet been confirmed, Zakhary said. Evelia Villegas is being held on a $700,000 bond, and Hector Villegas' bond is set at $1 million.

LOCAL Beach, Savannah High play in hoops tonight

Beach and Savannah boys top the high school basketball slate tonight. The Bulldogs and Blue Jackets, traditional rivals, will play at 8 p.m. in the Savannah High gym. The girls game will begin at 6:30 p.m.
