2011 Nissan Sunny Diesel finally out
The launch of Nissan Sunny Diesel comes at the time, when Indian automotive industry is witnessing a phenomenal upsurge in demand for diesel cars. On the launch event, Kiminobu Tokuyama, MD & CEO, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd., said, "We are delighted to introduce the diesel variant of Sunny for the Indian market. At a time when Indian market is witnessing an increase in demand for diesel cars, Sunny Diesel with Nissan technology of high performance and fuel economy will be the right choice for our valued customers in their search for the most suitable sedan."
Designed on the global ‘V’ platform, the diesel version of the car will have same exterior and interior features. In context of technical configuration, Nissan Sunny has equipped with an advanced 1.5-litre 4-cylinder K9K engine that has capability to churn out power of 86 bhp at 3750 rpm and has maximum torque delivery of 200 Nm at 2000 rpm. To maximize performance, K9K engine is intelligently integrated with five-speed manual transmission mechanism. Furthermore, sub-frame mounted suspensions and anti-roll bars reduce road noise and vibration, providing better response on most challenging Indian roads.
