2011 Green and Gold Hall of Fame Ball
Annual Green and Gold Hall of Fame Banquet last Saturday night. This annual event was held at the Imperial Valley Swiss Club, where guests were treated to a beautifully decorated venue and a delicious meal.
Guests were welcomed in the door by Hall of Fame Committee members Arleta Aguirre and Betty Predmore and were entertained by the Clark Baker Band. Master of Ceremonies and Committee Chair Marv Wood welcomed everyone as the Viking Band of Pride played the Fight Song. HHS Principal Jackie Hester also gave a welcome. Pastor Art Zeigler for the Assembly of God Church in Holtville gave the Invocation. Dinner was prepared by members of the I.V. Swiss Club and served by the Holtville FFA.
Following dinner, the “Remembering the Champions” portion of the evening was introduced. Three HHS teams were recognized for the outstanding team accomplishments. Being honored and receiving championship rings were the 1977 C.I.F. Championship Tennis Team, the 1993 C.I.F. Championship Volleyball Team, and the 1992 C.I.F. Championship Football Team.
